The sound comes from a Vine posted in 2014 by creator Jimmy Here, whose username gives this page its name. In the original six second video he delivers the Wednesday line to camera before holding up a Budgett's frog, which lets out its distinctive scream. The Vine was widely shared and remixed, and the phrase became a recurring Wednesday post on social media, revived each week with new frog images, edits and reposts long after Vine closed, keeping the clip in regular meme rotation.

The It Is Wednesday My Dudes sound from Jimmy Here's Vine, featuring his deadpan line followed by a screaming frog, used for midweek meme posts.
The clip opens with a flat, casual voice announcing it is Wednesday, my dudes, before a Budgett's frog takes over with a loud, sustained scream. The joke is the timing, as the human line sounds like a routine calendar reminder and the frog reacts as if the news is overwhelming. That abrupt shift from deadpan to chaotic noise makes viewers laugh and also makes the sound easy to recognise from the first second, even without the video. It works best as a surprise punctuation mark in the middle of an otherwise ordinary moment.
