Kratos is the protagonist of God of War, the action series developed by Santa Monica Studio that debuted in 2005. A former Spartan captain who became the Ghost of Sparta, the character is known for his bald head, pale ash-covered skin and extremely deep, angry delivery. Clips of his shouts and growls have circulated on soundboards and in gaming edits for years, detached from specific scenes and reused as a generic symbol of rage. The extended hissed spelling kratossss reflects how fans stretch his name online for comic effect.

Kratos sound effect from God of War featuring the Spartan warrior's deep growling voice, used for gaming edits, rage moments and meme reactions.
This clip captures Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta from God of War, in a long, intense vocal moment lasting over sixteen seconds. His voice is deep, gravelly and strained, dragging out the sound with raw anger and exhaustion that defines the character. It is not a clean one-liner but a drawn-out growl and shout that builds tension as it goes. Listeners instantly recognise the weight behind it, making it feel powerful, intimidating and slightly over the top. That exaggerated delivery is why it works so well as a reaction sound beyond the game itself.
