This clip comes from Mario Kart Wii, Nintendo's 2008 racing game, where Luigi shouts in excitement while boosting on the track. Players began lifting the short voice line into gameplay videos and meme edits because it was instantly recognisable even without any visuals, and it soon spread across soundboards and short-form video as a shorthand for sudden speed or chaotic energy. Its brevity, clear character voice and cartoon delivery keep it useful for creators who want a quick, funny reaction rather than a long sound effect.

Luigi's excited boosting shout from Mario Kart Wii, a rising 'oooh' that creators drop over speed boosts, wins and chaotic gameplay moments in memes and edits.
Luigi lets out a short, high-pitched burst of excitement as he accelerates, starting low and climbing into a stretched, almost cartoonish yell that lasts just over a second. The voice is unmistakably Luigi, playful and a little frantic, with the kind of exaggerated energy that makes a simple boost feel like a huge moment. Because it is so brief and expressive, it lands instantly in a video, turning an ordinary speed-up, comeback or lucky escape into something funnier and more dramatic without needing any explanation.
