Moonbase Alpha is a free moon exploration simulation released by NASA in 2010, built to show teamwork on a lunar base. Players quickly ignored the mission and used its built in text to speech chat to make the astronauts say anything, turning ordinary lines into robotic jokes shared on YouTube and gaming forums. Clips like this poo poo loop spread as part of that trend, alongside singing and repeated names, and the deadpan voice is still borrowed for meme edits long after the game faded.

The Moonbase Alpha text to speech voice repeating poo poo in a flat robotic tone, used for silly meme edits, gaming jokes and reaction videos.
This clip is the Moonbase Alpha text to speech voice saying poo poo over and over for almost eight seconds, each word delivered in the same flat, robotic monotone. The joke comes from the contrast between the serious space simulation voice and the childish phrase it keeps repeating without any change in emotion. It builds slowly, getting funnier as the repetition continues and the voice refuses to react. Viewers hear it as pure deadpan absurdity, the kind of low effort humour that works because the delivery stays completely straight faced throughout.
