Puck comes from Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World, the light novel series adapted into an anime in 2016, where he is the cat-like spirit contracted to Emilia. The clap is taken from episode 10 of the first season and was clipped by fans because its short, loopable rhythm works outside the scene. Shared as a reaction sound on anime boards and editing servers, it became a shorthand for gentle, teasing applause rather than harsh mockery, which is why creators still reach for it in fan edits.

Puck's slow clap from Re:Zero episode 10, the cute spirit cat applauding with three distinct claps used for sarcastic praise and anime reactions.
This is Puck, the small floating spirit who looks like a white cat, giving a slow deliberate applause in Re:Zero. You hear three clean, spaced out claps, clap clap clap, with no music or dialogue underneath, just the soft smack of his tiny paws coming together. The timing is what makes it funny, because it is too earnest to be truly mocking and too slow to be genuine celebration. Played over a moment it instantly turns praise into a teasing, slightly sarcastic reaction that still feels cute.
