The clip comes from edits of Vladimir Putin walking down a corridor, which spread as the wide Putin meme after users stretched the footage and paired it with upbeat piano music. The format took off on YouTube and TikTok around 2020, with creators copying the walk for teachers, parents, pets and game characters. Because the reference is visual and musical at once, this meme sound alone now triggers the image in viewers minds, which is why it is still reused for short entrance jokes and reaction edits today.

The Putin meme sound from the wide walking edits, used for confident entrances, boss moments and ironic power-walk jokes online everywhere today.
This is the short audio clip tied to the wide Putin walking meme, built around a dramatic, strutting feel that instantly signals confidence and authority. The sound is upbeat and slightly over the top, which is why the joke lands even without the video. Played under an ordinary entrance, it turns a simple walk into a mock power move, making the person on screen look absurdly important. Viewers recognise the rhythm and timing immediately, so the humour comes from the contrast between the serious tone and the mundane action happening in the edit.
