Nathan Explosion is the lead singer of Dethklok, the fictional death metal band at the centre of Adult Swim's Metalocalypse, which first aired in 2006. Voiced by co-creator Brendon Small, Nathan is known for his deep, monotone delivery, so a single no from him carries more weight than a long argument. Clips of his voice spread through fan edits, reaction videos, and soundboards, where the line became shorthand for an instant, non-negotiable refusal. It sits alongside other blunt refusal clips such as nope and the dramatic NO GOD PLEASE NO moment, but Nathan's version stays colder and more deadpan.

Nathan Explosion shouting a blunt, drawn-out no from the animated series Metalocalypse, used as a flat rejection or dramatic refusal in memes and edits.
This clip captures Nathan Explosion, the hulking frontman of the fictional death metal band Dethklok, delivering a single, emphatic no in his deep, gravelly voice. The delivery is slow and deadpan rather than panicked, with the word stretched just enough to sound final and unimpressed. It lands like a door slamming shut, cutting off an argument, a bad idea, or an unwanted request without any explanation. Because the voice is so distinctive and the refusal is so absolute, listeners instantly read it as stubborn denial, making it perfect for moments when a character or creator simply will not budge.
