Steven Universe is an American animated series created by Rebecca Sugar that aired on Cartoon Network from 2013 to 2019, following Steven and the Crystal Gems in Beach City. Steven's earnest, emotional reactions are central to the show's tone, and short clips of his voice were widely clipped and shared on soundboards and in fan edits during and after the run. This extended Noooooo became a reusable reaction clip because it needs no setup, reads instantly as dismay, and fits scenes far removed from the original episode context.
Informazioni su questo suono
Steven's dramatic Noooooo scream from Steven Universe, a panicked cartoon shout used in reaction videos, edits and memes for over-the-top disappointment.
This is Steven Universe himself letting out a long, stretched Noooooo that starts desperate and wobbles into full cartoon panic. The delivery is high, youthful and completely sincere, which is what makes it funny out of context — there is no irony in the voice, just pure horror at something going wrong. At just over three seconds it lands like a punctuation mark, instantly telling the audience a plan has collapsed, a character has made a terrible choice, or a reveal has landed badly. It works best unaccompanied, with the emotion doing all the work.
