W.D. Gaster originated in Undertale as an unseen former royal scientist, known mainly through scattered hidden dialogue and fan investigation rather than a direct appearance. When Toby Fox released Deltarune, a related game sharing characters and themes, fans began linking its cryptic opening and secret figures to Gaster, keeping the mystery alive. Clips tied to him spread through lore videos, theory threads and edits, where the eerie music signals that something hidden is about to matter.

The mysterious W.D. Gaster theme linked to Deltarune, a slow and eerie melody fans use in lore videos, theories and edits about Undertale's hidden scientist.
The clip captures the unsettling musical presence linked to W.D. Gaster, the hidden former scientist whose name haunts both Undertale and Deltarune lore. It unfolds slowly, with low, droning tones and a fragile, off-kilter melody that feels like something half-remembered rather than fully played. There is no clear beat to settle into, so the listener stays slightly on edge, waiting for a reveal that never quite arrives. That tension is the point: it makes a scene feel secretive, haunted and strangely important, as if a character who should not exist is standing just out of view.
