Poggers grew out of Twitch chat culture, where the wide-eyed, open-mouthed Poggers emote became shorthand for excitement, surprise, and hype during big plays and reveals. Streamers soon turned that reaction into custom follow alerts, pairing the familiar face and feeling with a short notification sound so new followers could trigger a moment the whole chat recognised. The format spread through stream overlays, highlight clips, and meme edits, and it remains popular because it is instantly readable even to viewers who have never streamed themselves.

A short Twitch follow alert sound built around the Poggers meme, used by streamers to celebrate a new follower with a fun, high-energy notification.
The Poggers follow noise is a short, punchy alert made for livestreaming, combining the excited energy of the Poggers emote with a crisp notification sound that cuts through gameplay and commentary. It plays for just under thirteen seconds, giving streamers enough time to react, thank the new follower, and let chat join in with their own Poggers spam. The tone is playful and celebratory rather than serious, so it works best as a burst of hype that makes a routine follow feel like a small event. Viewers hear it and instantly know someone new has joined the community, which keeps the stream feeling lively, welcoming, and interactive.
