The clip comes from an Omegle trolling video titled Pornhub Intro Prank (Gone Right), credited to RishabhRaj, in which the familiar intro is used to catch people off guard during random chats. The Cornhub name plays on that same joke, swapping the first letter for a harmless word while keeping the recognisable sound. Shared as a short soundboard clip, it spread through prank edits and reaction videos because the setup is instantly understood without any explanation. It remains popular as a quick, low-effort fake-out for creators who want an immediate reaction.

The Cornhub intro prank sound mimics a site opening before dropping to music, from an Omegle trolling video. It is used for fake-out gags and reaction clips.
This six-second clip opens with a short, recognisable intro sting that sounds like the opening of a well-known video site, immediately setting up an awkward expectation for anyone listening. Instead of continuing as expected, it flips into upbeat music, turning the moment into a joke rather than anything explicit. The humour comes from that sudden switch and the reaction it provokes, especially when someone thinks they know what is coming next. Played at full volume in a quiet room or over a reaction video, it lands as a quick fake-out that makes viewers laugh, gasp, or look twice before realising they have been pranked.
