The Deez Nuts joke is an old playground bait and switch that exploded online in 2015 after Welven Harris, known as WelvenDaGreat, posted his phone call version that ended with the shouted punchline. Law and Order, created by Dick Wolf and first aired in 1990, supplied the other half with its tense theme and the famous dun dun scene sting. Editors later mashed the two together, treating the punchline like a court ruling. The pairing stuck because both parts are instantly recognised, making it perfect for short meme edits and reaction videos.

A mashup of the Deez Nuts punchline with the Law and Order theme and dramatic dun dun sting, used in meme edits for joke reveals and fake verdicts.
This clip combines two instantly recognisable sounds into one joke. It opens with the serious, courtroom style build of a crime drama, complete with the famous two note sting that signals a scene change, then drops in the childish Deez Nuts punchline as if it were a legal ruling. The contrast is the whole effect. The formal music and delivery make the setup feel important, so the silly payoff lands harder and turns an ordinary reveal, argument or text exchange into a mock trial moment that viewers understand immediately without any extra context needed.
