This clip circulates as a stock ghost sound effect, labelled in Portuguese as a ghost passing while screaming, and it is listed on soundboards alongside other short scare and reaction noises. Its appeal comes from the familiar haunted-house sound rather than a single film or television scene, so creators can reuse it without needing context. Short, instantly recognisable and easy to drop into a cut, it has stayed popular in Brazilian meme and prank edits, where a sudden phantom scream works as both a scare and a joke about someone acting crazy.
Sobre este som
A short, eerie ghost scream that rushes past like a phantom, commonly used in horror edits, prank videos and spooky memes to suddenly startle viewers.
This is a brief, high-pitched ghost scream that sweeps past the listener, starting as a distant wail and rising into a sharp, panicked shriek before fading away. It sounds like a restless phantom rushing through a dark corridor, with a thin, echoing tone that feels both comic and unsettling. The short length makes the scare land instantly, giving viewers a jolt without building a long scene. In edits it works as a sudden interruption, a reaction to something strange, or the punchline to a joke about madness or haunting, leaving the audience half-laughing and half-startled.
