Ugo Fantozzi, created and played by Paolo Villaggio, first appeared in the 1975 film Fantozzi. In Il secondo tragico Fantozzi from 1976, his boss forces staff to endlessly rewatch Sergei Eisenstein's 1925 Battleship Potemkin, which in Italian is La corazzata Potemkin. Fantozzi's garbled Corazza Potemkin and eventual revolt became one of the series' most quoted moments in Italy. The clip survived through TV repeats and later meme pages and WhatsApp forwards, where the title alone now signals a pretentious bore.

Voice clip of Fantozzi misnaming La corazzata Potemkin in the Italian comedy films. Used as a reaction to boring, pretentious or endless films and talks.
This is a brief spoken clip of Ugo Fantozzi mangling the title of Eisenstein's Battleship Potemkin, pronouncing it as Corazza Potemkin in his timid, put upon voice. The joke lands because the grand, serious classic is reduced to a confused mumble by an ordinary office worker forced to sit through it. Played on its own, the line sounds instantly exasperated and dismissive, like someone has already given up on whatever is on screen. That flat delivery is what makes it work as a quick punchline in chats and edits.
