Mike Wazowski was introduced in Pixar's Monsters, Inc. in 2001, voiced by Billy Crystal as the energetic partner of Sulley. The character became a lasting meme figure online, especially through reaction images using his single eye and expressive face, and later through face-swap edits that circulated widely on social media. Short voice clips followed the images into meme edits and soundboards, where his recognisable tone works even without context. The sound remains popular because it instantly signals comic panic, surprise and overreaction in a familiar movie voice.

Mike Wazowski sound effect from Monsters, Inc., featuring the one-eyed monster's voice used in memes for funny reactions and surprised moments.
This clip captures Mike Wazowski, the small green one-eyed monster from Monsters, Inc., delivering a line in his fast, high-pitched and slightly panicked voice. His round body and huge single eye made him a perfect reaction image, and the audio keeps that same energy in sound form. You hear the urgency and comic frustration that defines the character, instantly recognisable even without the picture. Listeners picture his wide expression and frantic gestures, which makes a short moment feel funnier and more dramatic than the situation really is.
