Eddsworld is a British animated web series created by Edd Gould, known for its short, fast-paced comedy episodes shared online. Fans often isolate brief moments from the show, including broadcast-style scenes, and share them as short audio clips for edits and memes. This newscast clip works in that tradition, giving creators a ready-made news intro without needing to cut it from a full episode. Its appeal comes from the familiar Eddsworld humour and the instantly recognisable format of a television news report, which creators reuse for parody announcements and dramatic reveals.

A short Eddsworld newscast clip with a news-style announcement, used by creators for fake breaking-news intros and dramatic meme reveals in edits and videos.
This is a short clip from Eddsworld presented in the style of a television newscast, with a formal broadcast tone that instantly signals breaking news. The delivery is quick and straight-faced, which makes the familiar cartoon world feel like a real news report for a few seconds. That contrast is the joke: an ordinary or absurd Eddsworld moment is framed with the authority of a news bulletin. Used in an edit, it creates a sudden shift in mood, adds mock seriousness, and tells the viewer that something important, funny, or completely unexpected is about to be announced.
