Perry the Platypus first appeared in Phineas and Ferb, the Disney animated series that premiered in 2007. Perry lives as the Ferb family's silent pet while secretly working as Agent P for the O.W.C.A., foiling Dr Heinz Doofenshmirtz in almost every episode. Doofenshmirtz greeting or discovering Perry became a recurring routine, and short clips of his reactions were later cut for soundboards and meme edits. The shout survives because the rivalry is so familiar that a single name instantly sets up the joke.

A short Dr Doofenshmirtz shout of Perry from Phineas and Ferb, used as a funny reaction for surprise reveals, betrayals and platypus memes.
This is Dr Heinz Doofenshmirtz spotting his nemesis and blurting out Perry's name in shocked recognition. The delivery is drawn out and incredulous, starting as a confused gasp and rising into that familiar exasperated yell cartoon fans instantly recognise. It captures the exact moment a secret identity is blown and a plan falls apart. Dropped into a video, it turns an ordinary reveal into a running gag, signalling disbelief, betrayal and comic defeat without needing any extra explanation or dialogue.
