The sound comes from asdfmovie, the animated sketch series created by TomSka and shared on YouTube, where very short scenes rely on literal answers and sudden non sequiturs. This pie exchange became one of the series most quoted moments, reused in reuploads, remixes, animatics and reaction edits far beyond the original cartoon. Its British spelling variant pie flavour asdf still appears in searches, showing how fans look it up by memory. It stays popular because the joke is instantly understood, works without context and fits almost any silly setup.

The pie flavor sound effect comes from asdfmovie and is used in meme edits when a silly question needs a deadpan, completely useless answer.
This clip captures a short back and forth where one character proudly offers a freshly baked pie and the other asks what flavor it is. The answer is simply pie flavor, delivered in a flat, cheerful tone that makes the logic feel completely broken. There is no build up or extra sound, just clean cartoon voices against silence, which makes the punchline land instantly. The humor comes from the confidence of the reply and how it treats the question as already answered, leaving viewers with a perfectly timed moment of cheerful nonsense.
