Follow alerts grew out of livestreaming culture, where creators on platforms like DLive use short custom sounds to acknowledge new followers in real time. This clip is tied to Marko Layd's channel, giving his streams a recognisable audio cue that viewers learn to associate with a follow. Because it is short and distinct, it fits easily into alert overlays, highlight reels and short-form clips shared beyond the original broadcast. Streamers keep using this kind of alert because it rewards engagement instantly, encourages more follows and helps build a sense of community around a channel.

A custom follow alert sound for streamer Marko Layd on DLive, used to announce new followers during live streams with a short upbeat notification jingle.
This is a streamer follow alert created for Marko Layd on DLive, a short burst of bright, upbeat notification sound that plays the moment someone follows the channel. It is built to cut through gameplay and chat noise, giving the streamer a clear cue to react and making the new follower feel noticed instantly. The pacing feels celebratory without dragging on, so it works as a quick interruption rather than a full song, and it leaves room for a shoutout or thank you right after it finishes. For viewers, it signals a small community moment and adds energy to the live broadcast.
