Agnes Tachyon is a character from Umamusume: Pretty Derby, a Japanese franchise about horse girls reimagined as idols and athletes. Within the fandom she is known as a brilliant but eccentric researcher, obsessed with unlocking a horse girl's hidden potential through unconventional experiments. Fans began clipping her distinctive laugh for short videos and memes, where it works as shorthand for a clever but slightly dangerous idea. Because it is instantly recognisable to Umamusume fans and funny even out of context, it continues to appear in edits, streams and reaction videos.
About this sound
Agnes Tachyon's distinctive laugh from Umamusume: Pretty Derby, used in memes and edits to signal a mischievous plan or sudden unhinged confidence.
This short clip captures Agnes Tachyon laughing in her signature unsettling style, a high, breathy giggle that quickly escalates into something more manic and knowing. It is not a warm or friendly laugh; it sounds like a brilliant scientist who has just thought of something she probably should not try, and is delighted by it anyway. In edits, that tone instantly changes the mood, turning an ordinary moment into a suspicious one and making the viewer expect chaos, an experiment gone wrong, or a plan that is clever, risky, and a little bit terrifying.
