Baldi originates from Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning, the 2018 indie horror game by Micah McGonigal, where his ruler-slap jumpscare became a gaming meme. This particular choke attack does not come from the official game; it was created for Attack Of the Baldoon, a fan-made Baldi project by MichealDoesGaming. Fans of Baldi horror clips picked up the sound for its raw, amateur menace, and it circulates on soundboards and meme edits wherever a sudden, cheap scare is needed.
About this sound
A harsh choking attack sound from Baldi in the fan-made game Attack Of the Baldoon by MichealDoesGaming, used by creators for sudden jumpscare edits.
The clip captures Baldi's choke attack as a short, brutal burst of sound. It opens with a strained, raspy gasp, as if the throat suddenly seizes, then rattles through a few harsh choking convulsions before cutting off dead at just over three seconds. The dry, close-miked texture makes it feel uncomfortably near, like the attack is happening right at the microphone. For a viewer, the effect is an instant jolt: the body braces for a scare, then the abrupt silence lands as an awkward, darkly funny punchline, which is exactly why it works as a reaction clip.
