About this sound

Caine's stretching scream sound from The Amazing Digital Circus. A wild cartoon screech players use for fails, glitches and chaotic meme edits.

This clip captures Caine, the manic ringmaster of The Amazing Digital Circus, letting out a stretched-out cartoon scream that warps and wobbles like rubber. It starts as a yelp and stretches into a long, spiraling screech that sounds like his voice is being pulled apart. On a viewer it lands like a burst of pure cartoon chaos, equal parts funny and unhinged, which is exactly why editors drop it over fails, jump scares gone wrong and moments when a plan collapses in spectacular fashion.

Pro tip

Drop the scream over the exact frame a jump goes wrong or a trap backfires, and let the tail of the screech carry the punchline. Cut it before it ends if you want comedic timing, and avoid pairing it with other loud cartoon screams, which makes the edit feel noisy instead of funny.

How people use it

Playing under a botched parkour jump in Fortnite.
Stinging the moment a teammate blows a clutch round.
Punctuating a glitchy, cursed-looking game edit.
Pairing with a character being launched off screen.
