Screech comes from Doors, the Roblox horror game released by LSPLASH in 2022, where the entity hides in dark rooms, whispers to get attention, then attacks with a loud shriek if the player does not look at it quickly. As Doors clips spread on TikTok and YouTube, its scream joined other short horror staples like the FNAF Jumpscare Scream and the ROBLOX oof in soundboards and edits. Players instantly recognise the noise out of context, so creators reuse it as a quick shorthand for a missed warning and a sudden scare.
About this sound
The piercing shriek from Screech in Roblox Doors, the horror entity that jumpscares players in dark rooms and is used for scary prank edits online.
This is the sharp, high-pitched screech made by Screech, the small black entity from the Roblox horror game Doors. The clip starts with a tense, close whisper feel before bursting into a piercing shriek that fills the short runtime. It is sudden, shrill and deliberately startling, designed to punish players who fail to spot Screech in a dark room in time. Heard outside the game, that same blast instantly signals danger and panic, making a normal moment feel like a jumpscare and leaving viewers alert, unsettled and braced for something to appear.
