Monoco is a character in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the fantasy role-playing game that became a breakout hit with players for its distinctive world and cast. His short Owowow line was clipped by fans and shared on soundboards, where its exaggerated, cartoonish delivery made it easy to reuse outside the game. It spread through gameplay videos, reaction edits, and meme compilations, and it remains popular because it works as a universal, family-friendly yelp that needs no context to understand.
About this sound
Monoco's playful 'Owowow' voice line from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, used in memes and gaming edits as a short comic reaction to surprise or pain.
Monoco delivers a single drawn-out Owowow in a bright, exaggerated tone that rises and wobbles like a cartoon yelp of surprise. The clip lasts less than a second, yet the playful delivery makes it instantly recognisable to players of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, where Monoco is known for his theatrical personality. It lands as a lighthearted reaction rather than a serious cry, so viewers hear it as comic shock, mock pain, or delighted disbelief. Dropped over a fail, a sudden reveal, or an unexpected hit, it softens the moment and turns it into a joke.
