Electro Choc is one of the radio stations in Grand Theft Auto IV, released in 2008 and set in Liberty City. Hosted in game by DJ Francois K, the station plays electronic dance music, house and techno tracks that matched the city's club culture. Players heard it while driving, and its station ident and music style became strongly linked to nighttime play sessions. Clips from the station still circulate in gaming edits and nostalgia posts, where the sound instantly signals GTA IV rather than a generic dance track.
