Om Nom, known as Amnyam in Russian, is the green candy loving hero of Cut the Rope, the puzzle game first released in 2010. Russian speaking meme pages shortened his name into catchphrases like the title of this clip, then editors paired the reference with bass boosted audio to make it travel as a soundboard staple. The boosted treatment became popular because it turns instant recognition into a joke by itself, so the clip keeps circulating in short edits, remixes and reaction posts.
About this sound
A loud bass boosted Om Nom meme clip named in Russian as this is Om Nom, used to make silly edits, fails and over the top reactions hit harder.
This clip takes the familiar Om Nom character and turns his presence into a heavy bass boosted meme moment lasting about eighteen seconds. The low end is pushed hard until it distorts, giving a simple reference a booming and slightly ridiculous weight. Instead of a clean musical phrase, it feels like a punchline arriving with too much force. Viewers hear the rumble build and instantly read the scene as exaggerated, playful and not serious. That contrast between a cute character and an oversized sound is what makes the edit land.
