Expunged comes from Dave and Bambi, a fan-made Friday Night Funkin' mod centred on the characters Dave and Bambi and their increasingly strange encounters. As one of the mod's antagonists, Expunged became a favourite for fan edits, soundboards and short-form videos because his distorted lines are instantly recognisable even out of context. Voicelines like this one spread through gameplay clips, memes and remixes, and they remain popular with Friday Night Funkin' fans who use them to signal a sudden shift in tone or a character breaking down.
About this sound
Expunged's fourth voiceline from the Dave and Bambi Friday Night Funkin' mod, a short distorted voice clip used in memes, edits and reaction videos.
This short clip captures Expunged, the unsettling shapeshifting antagonist from the Dave and Bambi mod for Friday Night Funkin', delivering one of his brief, glitchy voicelines. His voice is pitched, warped and slightly unnatural, shifting between playful and threatening in just a few seconds, which makes the line feel off-putting even before the words fully register. That contrast is the point: it sounds like a cartoon character breaking character, and it lands as a sudden jolt in a video. Creators use it to punctuate a reveal, a plot twist or a character snapping, because the distortion alone tells the audience something strange has just happened.
