The clip comes from chicken.on.tree, a TikTok account built around a daily series of a chicken screaming from a tree, tagged with fyp, chicken, memes, scream and foryou. Each short video leans on the same absurd image, a hen perched in the branches shrieking at full volume, and the repetition turned it into a running joke. Ripped from those posts, the chicken on tree screaming audio now circulates on soundboards where creators reuse it for pranks, fails and reaction memes, keeping the bit alive alongside the classic scream meme.
About this sound
The screaming chicken on a tree clip from the viral daily TikTok series by chicken.on.tree. Creators drop this hen squawk over fails, scares and prank reveals.
The clip captures a chicken perched in a tree letting out a raw, raspy scream that lasts about five seconds. It starts as a startled squawk and rises into a frantic, almost human-sounding shriek, with the bird's flapping and the rustle of leaves underneath. Played back, it lands somewhere between comedy and alarm, which is exactly why it works. Viewers laugh because the sound is far bigger and more dramatic than the small bird making it, and the sheer panic in its voice turns any ordinary moment into instant chaos.
