Geburtstags Rülps combines the German words for birthday and burp, and the clip circulates mainly as a WhatsApp audio forwarded for birthdays rather than as a clip from a film or show. Its short length and voice-effect processing are typical of novelty audios made to be shared in chat apps, where a single rude sound can replace a written greeting. German-speaking users reuse it year after year for the same friends, and it has spread as a general birthday burp sound effect beyond those chats.
About this sound
A short birthday burp sound effect with a cartoonish belch, popular in German WhatsApp chats for sending funny greetings instead of a normal message.
This is a very short birthday burp clip, just over half a second long, built around a loud, exaggerated belch delivered as a joke greeting. The burp is close and dry with a slightly processed, voice-changer quality that makes it sound bigger and sillier than a real belch. There is no music or background noise, so the single hit lands instantly. Used on its own it turns a plain happy birthday message into a gross-out punchline, the kind of rude but affectionate joke friends send when a formal greeting would feel too serious.
