Gawr Gura debuted in 2020 as part of Hololive English Myth and quickly became one of the most recognisable VTubers on YouTube, known for her shark hoodie, tail and playful personality. Short clips taken from her streams and fan edits spread easily because they work without context, and this tail joke became a shorthand for her character design. Fans still share it in compilations, Discord servers and short videos as an in-joke that signals affection for Gura rather than knowledge of one specific stream moment.
About this sound
A short Gawr Gura meme clip about her big shark tail, taken from the Hololive VTuber's streams and used in anime edits, jokes and reaction videos.
This clip is a playful fan-made moment centred on Gawr Gura, the shark girl VTuber from Hololive English, and the exaggerated size of her tail. The audio is bright, fast and deliberately silly, with a cheerful vocal delivery that treats a simple character detail like a grand announcement. It lands less as a joke with a punchline and more as instant character humour, making Gura feel cute, chaotic and larger than life in just a few seconds. Viewers recognise it immediately as affectionate teasing rather than mockery, which is why it works so well out of context.
