Taken from Smosh, the long-running YouTube comedy group known for sketch and reaction videos, this brief questioning clip has travelled mainly through short-form edits and soundboards. Its appeal is its flexibility: the same disbelieving delivery can question a crush, a casting choice, or an unlikely pairing without needing any extra context. Because the line is so short, it slots neatly into reaction videos, memes, and chat clips, keeping it useful long after the original moment has passed.
About this sound
A short, surprised “Him?” voice clip from Smosh, spoken by Amanda in a questioning tone. Creators use it for shocked reactions to an unexpected crush or reveal.
This 1.7-second clip captures Amanda from Smosh delivering a single disbelieving word, Him, with her voice rising sharply at the end as if she cannot quite believe what she has just heard. It is short, high-pitched and deliberately dramatic, with a pause of disbelief packed into just two syllables. Played over a reveal, a photo, or a name drop, it instantly turns confusion into comedy, making the audience share the speaker’s shock. The clip works because it says so little yet implies so much, leaving viewers to fill in the awkward backstory themselves.
