Homecoming is a Samsung ringtone and alarm tone that many listeners recognise from Samsung phones, where it is associated with waking up and incoming calls. Shared as a short clip on soundboards and in videos, it spread beyond phone owners because the melody is instantly recognisable even to people who have never owned the device. Creators keep using it as shorthand for a morning alarm, a phone ringing, or a character starting the day, and its calm, familiar sound still works well in memes and edits years after it first became a familiar phone tone.
About this sound
The Homecoming alarm tone from Samsung phones, a bright electronic melody used as a morning wake-up sound and in videos for a familiar phone alarm moment.
The Homecoming alarm is a gentle, upbeat electronic tune that many Samsung phone owners recognise instantly from their morning alarm. It opens with a clear, chiming melody played on bright, synthetic tones, then repeats in a calm, looping pattern that feels cheerful rather than harsh. The rhythm is steady and lightly bouncy, with soft layers building a warm, optimistic mood instead of a sudden jolt. Hearing it tends to trigger a familiar, slightly nostalgic reaction, as if a phone is waking someone up just out of frame, which makes it instantly readable in short videos even without any visual explanation.
