Homelander is the main antagonist of The Boys, the Amazon series that premiered in 2019 and is played by Antony Starr. His laser vision is one of his most recognised powers, often shown when he loses control or intimidates others. Clips of the beam were cut from episodes and shared widely in fan edits on TikTok and YouTube, where the sound alone became shorthand for overwhelming power. It remains popular because viewers instantly link the blast to the character, even in unrelated meme contexts.
About this sound
Homelander laser beam sound effect from The Boys, capturing his heat vision charging and firing. Creators use it for superhero edits and power reveals.
This is the sharp, electric blast of Homelander using his laser eyes in The Boys. The clip starts with a high pitched charge that builds fast, then cuts into a searing beam with a crackling, burning edge. It sounds intense and dangerous rather than cartoonish, which is why the moment feels threatening even without the picture. Paired with glowing red eyes or a sudden stare, it turns an ordinary clip into a power move and makes the character feel unstoppable and frightening for a few seconds.
