This sound comes from the long-running 5 Gum advertising campaign built around the slogan “Stimulate Your Senses,” especially the line “this is how it feels to chew 5 Gum.” The commercials became widely quoted online in the late 2000s and 2010s because their intense, pseudo-cinematic style felt easy to parody. The clip stayed popular through meme edits, YTP-style remixes, and dirtier joke versions that exaggerate the ad’s already dramatic tone. It still works because the original delivery is so instantly recognizable and overblown.
About this sound
The iconic “this is how it feels to chew 5 Gum” ad clip, used in memes, edits and dirty remixes for sudden dramatic or absurd payoff.
This sound is the familiar audio cue from the 5 Gum commercials, usually tied to the line about how it feels to chew the gum and the intense, overstimulating vibe that follows. It has a dramatic, ad-like delivery that instantly feels exaggerated and a little ridiculous out of context. In memes, that overblown tone turns normal moments into fake life-changing events, which is why creators use it for ironic reveals, cursed edits, and punchlines that need a sudden burst of chaotic seriousness.
