Known online as 'Viviano grito cearense', this is a roughly 1.3-second scream clip that circulates in Brazilian meme culture as a shock reaction. The recording is attributed to someone named Viviano, with 'cearense' marking him as being from Ceará in northeastern Brazil, though no original video or broadcast source is documented. It spread the way WhatsApp audios do, passed from chat to chat until editors started dropping it into fail compilations and prank videos. It sits alongside other viral scream reactions like the screaming sheep meme and the exaggerated anime scream, kept alive by how instantly recognizable the yelp is.
About this sound
The 'Iei' scream is Viviano's famous Cearense shout, a short high-pitched yell used as a funny reaction sound in memes, edits and WhatsApp audios.
This is a split-second human scream: a sharp, high-pitched 'iêi!' that bursts out at full volume and cuts off almost immediately, lasting just over a second. The voice sounds strained and nasal, like someone yelping in surprise, pain or exaggerated excitement, with a raw, unfiltered phone-recording quality. Played over a video, it lands as a jolt of comic panic, turning an ordinary fail, scare or plot twist into a punchline. Its brevity is the joke; the scream hits, peaks and vanishes before the viewer can brace, which makes it endlessly replayable as a reaction sting.
