RWBY is an American anime style web series created by Monty Oum for Rooster Teeth, first released in 2013. Penny Polendina, the cheerful android friend of Ruby Rose, quickly became a fan favorite for her awkward charm and surprising strength in battle. Her combat ready line became one of her signature moments and a shorthand fans use to quote her online. The clip spread through soundboards and edit communities where RWBY fans reuse it as a confident reaction, long after the early volumes introduced her character.
About this sound
Penny Polendina tells Ruby she is combat ready in this short RWBY voice line, used for confident entrances, ready checks and anime reaction edits.
This clip captures Penny Polendina reassuring Ruby Rose with bright confidence before a fight, delivering the line Don't worry Ruby I'm combat ready in a cheerful upbeat tone. Her voice is energetic and earnest rather than tough, which makes the moment feel funny and endearing at the same time. The contrast between her sweet delivery and the promise of battle gives the sound a playful punch, perfect for cutting in when someone wants to announce they are fully prepared. It lands as motivation, bravado and a little comedy all at once.
