The sound comes from Kanye West's 2018 song Lift Yourself, which became widely discussed because of its unexpected closing vocal passage built around the phrase poopity scoop. That moment spread quickly across social media, where people clipped it for reaction edits, parody rap posts, and jokes about intentionally unserious bars. It remains popular because the phrase is brief, instantly recognizable, and perfect for turning tension or hype into a ridiculous anticlimax.
About this sound
The viral 'poopity scoop' vocal from Kanye West's 2018 track Lift Yourself, used in memes, reaction edits and jokes about nonsense bars.
This clip is the instantly recognizable 'poopity scoop' vocal line from Kanye West. It is short, rhythmic and playful, sounding like a mock verse or ad-lib rather than a serious rap bar. Because the phrase is so absurd and memorable, it lands as a punchline the moment it appears. Creators use it to undercut dramatic buildups, poke fun at overhyped lyrics, or cap off a joke with a deliberately silly finish that viewers recognize right away.
