PK Fire began as Ness's signature special move from EarthBound, and it became widely known through the Super Smash Bros series where Ness and Lucas use it to launch a zigzagging bolt of fire. When Kirby inhales Ness, he gains the same move and shouts the name in his own high voice. Clips of that shout spread through gaming videos, meme edits and soundboards because it is short, loud and tied to a move Smash players have heard for decades, making it a quick nostalgic punchline for fire attacks.
About this sound
Kirby shouting PK Fire from Super Smash Bros, the copied Ness fire attack voice clip used for gaming memes, edits and reaction videos online.
This is the short voice clip of Kirby yelling PK Fire while using the fire attack he copies from Ness in Super Smash Bros. The delivery is high pitched, fast and surprisingly aggressive for such a cute character, with the words bursting out in just over a second. That contrast is what makes it funny and instantly recognisable to players. Dropped over gameplay or an unrelated clip, it signals a sudden fiery attack, a chaotic turn or a playful threat, and viewers familiar with Smash hear the move charging up even before anything happens on screen.
