Luigi is Nintendo's green-clad younger brother of Mario and a long-running character in the Mario games, known for his nervous personality and high-pitched voice. Short reaction clips of him have circulated widely online as gaming memes, where a single surprised line can carry an entire joke without explanation. This OMG clip fits that pattern, giving creators a quick, instantly understood expression of shock for fails, surprises and unexpected twists. Its brevity and recognisable character voice are why it keeps appearing in edits, streams and reaction videos years after the games themselves.
About this sound
Luigi's surprised OMG reaction from the Mario games, a short shocked voice clip used for funny fails, unexpected reveals and gaming moments.
This is Luigi's short, high-pitched OMG exclamation, delivered in his familiar nervous, cartoonish voice from the Mario games. Lasting just over two seconds, it rises quickly in surprise and disbelief, as if Luigi has just seen something completely unexpected. The clip works because it is instantly recognisable, even without any visuals, and it turns a small moment into a comic overreaction. Listeners hear panic, shock and humour in a single breath, which makes it perfect for punctuating a fail, a plot twist or a sudden reveal in a video.
