Mirage is one of the original legends in Apex Legends, the free-to-play battle royale from Respawn Entertainment released in 2019, and his whole kit revolves around holographic decoys that confuse opponents. The bamboozle line, voiced by Roger Craig Smith, became shorthand in the community for a successful decoy play. It spread through gameplay montages, streamer highlights and short-form edits, where creators reuse it to flag a trick rather than explain it. Its staying power comes from that instant recognition among Apex players.
About this sound
Mirage's bamboozle voice line from Apex Legends, voiced by Roger Craig Smith, used in gameplay clips and memes when a decoy trick fools an opponent.
Mirage's bamboozle line is a short, cocky voice clip from Apex Legends in which the trickster legend taunts an enemy after sending out a decoy. Delivered in Roger Craig Smith's confident, playful tone, it lands as a quick boast rather than a shout, with a teasing edge that fits Mirage's showman personality. In a clip it works as a punchline for a fake-out, making a missed shot, a surprise flank or a failed chase feel like a deliberate joke. Listeners recognise the character instantly, even without seeing the game, because the delivery is so tied to his decoy-based playstyle.
