About this sound

A short clip from the Mario Kart DS Deluxe ROM hack featuring the Raccoon City track theme, often used in racing edits and gaming meme videos.

A two-second snippet of the Raccoon City track music from the Mario Kart DS Deluxe fan-made ROM hack, it captures the track's fast, playful racing energy in a compact burst. The clip opens with a punchy melodic hook that feels familiar to Mario Kart players yet slightly different because it comes from a custom course rather than an official game. Played on its own it works as a quick nostalgic cue, instantly setting a lighthearted, competitive mood and making viewers expect a race, a trick, or a chaotic turn around the next corner.

Pro tip

Drop it right as a racer enters Raccoon City or hits a shortcut, then cut to gameplay on the beat so it works like a location card. Pair it with a kart engine or item-box sound, but avoid looping it, since two seconds becomes repetitive.

How people use it

Introducing a custom Raccoon City race in gameplay videos.
Marking a shortcut or surprise turn during Mario Kart edits.
Transitioning between levels in a fan hack showcase.
Adding nostalgic flair to short racing meme clips.
