Mokey is the mouse-like star of Mokey's Show, an animated YouTube series by Sr Pelo that parodies classic cartoon characters with surreal humour. Short clips of Mokey's exaggerated reactions began circulating as reaction sounds on meme pages and soundboards, where a single gasp could convey shock without context. It is now used alongside other short shock clips such as a scream meme in TikTok edits, Discord jokes and YouTube videos, because its cartoon tone makes surprise feel funny rather than dramatic.
About this sound
A short shocked gasp from Sr Pelo's Mokey's Show, used as a reaction sound for surprising reveals, twists and unexpected moments in memes and videos.
This is a quick, high-pitched gasp from Mokey, the cheerful mouse-like character in Sr Pelo's surreal animated series. It starts with a sudden intake of breath and a rising, almost squeaky tone that makes the surprise feel instant and exaggerated, rather than serious or frightening. Because it is so short, it lands like a cartoon reaction: the listener immediately understands that something unexpected has just happened. In edits it works as a punchline cue, turning an ordinary reveal into a moment of comic shock without needing any dialogue or explanation.
