About this sound

This sound features Rod Sullivan, the ice cream man villain from Ice Scream, used in horror edits, jumpscare videos, and gaming memes online.

This clip captures Rod Sullivan, the masked ice cream seller from the Ice Scream horror games, in one of his unsettling in-game moments. His distorted presence and eerie tone instantly signal danger, even without any visuals. The sound feels tense and slightly absurd at the same time, which is why it works both as a genuine scare cue and as a joke. Played suddenly, it makes a normal scene feel like a kidnap chase is about to start, catching viewers off guard and turning everyday footage into a mini horror sequence.

Pro tip

Drop it the moment a character spots danger off-screen, then cut to black for half a second. Keep Rod's audio front and centre without music underneath, and avoid replaying it twice in one scene or the scare turns into background noise.

How people use it

Creators add it before a sudden horror game jumpscare moment.
Editors use it when someone creepy appears in background.
Gamers play it during Ice Scream chase scene edits.
Streamers trigger it to fake danger in funny videos.

More information

Rod Sullivan is the main villain of Ice Scream, the mobile horror series by Keplerians first released in 2019. A sinister ice cream seller who freezes and kidnaps children in his van, Rod became instantly recognisable for his mask, uniform and unnerving behaviour. As the games spread on YouTube and TikTok through playthroughs and edits, his voice clips and presence were clipped for reactions, often alongside other horror staples like the FNAF jumpscare scream. This ninth Rod clip circulates on soundboards for quick scare and meme use.
