Mr. Moseby is the fastidious manager of the Tipton Hotel in Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, played by Phill Lewis, and his formal manner made him a frequent source of reaction clips. This AM or FM line circulated on Vine, where its short length and instantly recognisable setup made it easy to reuse over driving footage and indecision jokes. It later survived on TikTok and meme soundboards because the question works without context: anyone who has argued over a car radio understands the joke immediately.
About this sound
Mr. Moseby asks 'Would you like AM or FM?' in this short Vine clip from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, often used for radio, car and choice reaction memes.
This short clip captures Mr. Moseby, the uptight hotel manager from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, delivering a deadpan radio question in his clipped, formal voice. He asks whether the listener would prefer AM or FM, with a polite but slightly exasperated tone that makes the ordinary choice feel like a serious hotel service. The line lands because of its contrast: a stuffy adult treating a simple car radio decision as an important matter. Played over a driving scene or a moment of indecision, it instantly signals fussiness, old-fashioned service and comic over-politeness.
