Neco-Arc originated as a joke cat version of Arcueid Brunestud from the Tsukihime visual novel and the Melty Blood fighting games, known for her distorted speech and chibi design. Short voice clips of the character spread through anime edits, Discord soundboards and TikTok, where her mispronounced reactions became shorthand for mock shock. This oh my gah line sits alongside the wider oh my god meme tradition, but the squeaky delivery and Neco-Arc's cult following keep this specific version in constant rotation.
About this sound
Neco-Arc says oh my gah in a squeaky high pitched voice in this short anime meme clip. Use it for shocked reactions, cute fails and surprise moments.
The clip is Neco-Arc delivering an exaggerated oh my god as oh my gah in her tiny, squeaky, catlike voice. The line lasts just over a second, with the final syllable stretched and pitched up for comic effect. It sounds less like real shock and more like a cartoon character pretending to be scandalized. That contrast is why it lands so well over a reaction shot, because the delivery turns a small surprise, mistake or awkward reveal into something deliberately silly and over the top.
