Credited to an original video by AxolotlRikk, this possum screech has circulated online as a short, reusable animal reaction clip, with the Dadish tag linking it to gaming and meme edits rather than a single film or television scene. Its appeal comes from how instantly readable the panic is: no words are needed to understand fear, surprise or comic overreaction. As a result it keeps appearing in short videos and edits alongside other shock sounds, including a jump scare scream, where a sudden loud noise does the comedic or startling work in just over two seconds.
About this sound
A sharp, panicked possum screech from Dadish, used in videos for sudden scares, comedic panic moments and over-the-top animal reactions in short videos.
This short clip captures a possum letting out a sudden, high-pitched screech that rises fast and sounds genuinely alarmed, almost like a tiny animal caught completely off guard. The squeal is sharp, frantic and a little ridiculous, which makes it land as both startling and funny at the same time. Played on its own it grabs attention instantly, while dropped over a reaction shot it turns an ordinary moment of surprise into something much more dramatic. Its raw, unpolished animal energy gives edits a jolt of chaos, making viewers flinch first and laugh a second later.
