Peepo is a wide-eyed variant of Pepe the Frog that became a familiar Twitch emote, often used to show affection, comfort or awkward sympathy in chat. The Pet the Peepo clip leans into that soft, wholesome image and then flips it with a crude fart sound, which is part of why it circulates as a joke button online. People searching for a fart noise button have also found it, showing how meme sounds travel across languages and platforms. Its staying power comes from that contrast: cute character, rude sound, instant reaction.
About this sound
A short, cartoonish fart sound linked to the Pet the Peepo meme, perfect for streamers and video editors adding a silly punchline to an awkward moment.
The Pet the Peepo sound is a deliberately silly meme clip built around a cartoonish fart noise, the kind of over-the-top sound that instantly breaks any serious mood. It is loud, bubbly and unmistakably fake, with a squelchy, drawn-out quality that makes it feel more like a joke sound effect than anything realistic. Played over a reaction, a failed play or an awkward pause, it turns embarrassment into comedy in seconds. Viewers recognise the gag immediately, which is why it works best as a quick punchline rather than a background noise, landing hardest when the moment before it was played completely straight.
