Prontone Rispondone circulates online as a short Italian meme audio built entirely around the act of answering the phone. Pronto is the standard greeting used when picking up in Italy, and the exaggerated Rispondone twist turns that everyday word into a catchy call and response. The clip has spread mainly through shared soundboards, group chats and short form videos, where its meaning is clear even to listeners who do not speak Italian. Its brevity and instant recognisability keep it in rotation for phone related jokes.
About this sound
Prontone Rispondone is a funny Italian voice clip of an exaggerated phone answer, used as a meme reaction for calls, messages and unexpected interruptions.
The clip features a loud, playful voice answering the phone with an over the top Prontone, followed immediately by Rispondone, stretching the normal Italian greeting into something theatrical. The delivery is fast, cheerful and deliberately exaggerated, with the emphasis landing hard on both words. It turns a routine moment, picking up a call, into a punchline. Listeners recognise it instantly as a joke answer rather than a real conversation, which is why it works so well dropped into chats and short videos at the exact moment someone calls, texts or demands attention.
