This clip is a recording of a 12-gauge pump shotgun being worked, identified in its file data as 12g-PumpFull and shared under the Portuguese title meaning reloading a shotgun. It has no single film, game, or television origin, and belongs to the family of weapon handling sounds reused across online video, gaming clips, and memes. Creators reach for it because the pump action is instantly recognisable and needs no explanation. Its short length makes it easy to drop into edits, trailers, and reaction videos, where one click can set up danger, confidence, or a joke before the scene moves on.
About this sound
A crisp 12-gauge pump shotgun reload sound effect with a metallic rack and click, used in videos, games and edits for tense action moments on screen.
This is the short, sharp sound of a 12-gauge pump shotgun being reloaded, captured in under a second. It begins with a metallic slide forward, followed by a firm rack back and a final locking click that feels solid and deliberate. The dry metal-on-metal movement is clean and close, with no voices, music, or background noise to distract from it. In a scene it instantly raises tension, signalling that someone is preparing for action and that something serious is about to happen. It works because the listener recognises the mechanism immediately, even without seeing the weapon, and expects the next moment to be louder and more dangerous.
