This audio is mainly known online as a reaction meme under searches like "when I catch you Ricky" and "Ricky meme." Its exact original source is not reliably clear from the available information, but the clip spread through short-form reposts, meme pages, and soundboard uploads. It stays popular because the line is simple, quotable, and easy to attach to everyday blame jokes, chase edits, and exaggerated reactions. The fixed name Ricky also helps the sound stand out, even when people reuse it for completely different targets.
About this sound
A frantic 'when I catch you, Ricky' meme audio used in reaction edits, callout jokes and chaotic skits when someone is about to get blamed or chased.
This sound is a short, angry, drawn-out voice clip repeating the line about catching Ricky. The delivery is intense and slightly unhinged, which makes it funny rather than genuinely threatening. People use it when a friend messes something up, escapes blame, or does something so annoying that a dramatic response feels funnier than a real one. The name Ricky stays in the clip, but creators often use it as a stand-in for any person they want to jokingly call out, chase, expose, or mock in a fast meme edit.
